4001 route dimensions needed
Does anyone have the bridge routing dimensions, length x width x depth + mute channel width x depth for a '77 4001. I'm trying to restore the factory bridge where somebody filled it in. Any help would be appreciated
No matter where you go - there you are.
Okay, Wes. Straight from my 1979 4080 which will be leaving me very soon: the main bridge route is a trapezoid with rounded corners. It is 1 3/4" wide and 1/4" deep except where it accommodates the mute: 1/2" deep. The "shorter" side is roughly 3", and the "longer" side is roughly 3 1/4". Bear in mind that both sides would be slightly longer if the trapezoid had sharp corners. As for the mute channel, it is 3 3/4" long and 3/4" wide, with rounded ends. I hope this helps.
A Rickenbacker bass is much like the Jaguar E car - perennially ultra-fashionable.
