(I am just way too outrageously addicted to this song.)
I forgot to mention that a couple of things I really like abut the Cuddy and Susanna version (besides the great singing) is that they combined Sylvia’s original lyrics with the We Five’s more bouncy feel. And the fact that they left in Cuddy’s flub on one of the chords. That takes guts. Good for them. We’re all human.
The Bangles also covered this tune at their recorded House of Blues set a couple of years ago. It was pretty good but not great.
