We'll keep on spending sunny days this way
We're gonna talk and laugh our time away
I feel it comin' closer day by day
Life would be ecstasy, you and me endlessly . . .
Groovin' . . . on a Sunday afternoon
Really couldn't get away too soon

I suggest using a drum machine for that - it'll save wear and tear on your arms! Image

suck peanut butter off a spoon, breath into a paper bag, drink a glass of water while standing on your head.... you know, the hiccup drill.

Good luck with it guys.

I'm having a problem deciding on the 'split', so I am taking advice from Gary & Peter on this.

There are several things to come out of this project, both from an artistic & a recording point of view. Perhaps some of the recording issues can be looked at in a seperate thread, once the CD is available. There are some VERY creative submissions & the whole thing is very enjoyable.....except the cut!!!

It might be 7 months late & the blame is totaly mine, for which I apologise to everyone, but it is now gathering pace with a vengance & things are happening dayly.

There is still artwork to sort, but it's all coming together very quickly. I would like to publicly thank Gary & Peter for not only all their help & encouragement, but also for putting up with my excuses & all of you for your understanding.

Tony, the best laid plans of mice and men often go astray... as far as I'm concerned, we wait for Rickenbacker guitars and basses we can wait for this as well. It is a huge task and I, for one, really appreciate the effort you all have put into the project.

Just to let you know that things are still happening! After all the wait, I just want to keep you informed that things are going on behind the scenes.....

I'm talking to Gary now Steve about that....it's really, really hard to make a decision. We didn't want to make too many criteria when we asked for submissions, but by that very nature, it's harder to make a decision about those that we leave out, as the criteria for leaving out submissions is not based on anything on particular....except for a balanced representation of submissions. This means that some that we leave out could be better recorded/performed/crafted etc, but not make the cut purely on representitive issues.

I have been very impressed with the creativeness off submissions & am reluctant to leave a single one out...a double CD has been suggested. But if we don't go down that road, then I am certainly going to ask Peter & Gary to put up with me for a second CD. This would not only allow perfectly good recordings to be featured on the follow up that were not selected for this first outing, but also allow forum members to send further submissions that would show a progression in thir own recording & songwriting techniques.

I may have been slow, for reasons that I hope have been accepted, with this project, but it is very much my wish to help fellow forumites improve their recording techniques & will do all I can to help. I'm not an oracle & don't know everything, but I have been recording professionally for quite a while now & am more than happy to help if you wish. A follow up album would be of benefit to all that truly want to improve their own personal standards, by listening to & taking inspiration from fellow enthusiasts.
