GREED?
Judge for yourself...
For "only" $25,000.00, too and ONLY 300 copies will be built...
WHEN will this madness cease?

I received this same mailing this afternoon. Unfortunately, as long as there's hero worship and "boomers" with the financial means, there will always be a market. Gibson has been the biggest contributor to all this craziness with the issuance of the Clapton "Crossroads 335", the Jimmy Page Les Paul & EDS-1275, the Duane Allman & Dickey Betts Les Pauls, the Alvin Lee "Woodstock 335" and the Hendrix Flying V. IIRC, the Clapton guitars sold out in a matter of a day at $25K. Now Fender has issued a Clapton "Blackie" replica that commands a hefty price as well....oh, and can't forget the SRV #1 and Jeff Beck Esquire.
Personally, I can think of quite a few vintage guitars that I'd rather spend that kind of money on that would bring me a lot more satisfaction. Of course, I'm a little guilty of this myself with a couple Murphied Les Pauls in my collection, so I guess I can't throw too many stones

Wherever you go, there you are
Well, if somebody likes that style and is willing to pay that amount of money... why not?.. Personally, i didn't like that one, it kinda reminded me of a lovechild of a kitchen table cloth and a towel horse, but to each their own...
Nothing will get you dead quicker than being deadly serious about yourself.

Paul, one of these days you're going to get a call from someone who put a ding in one of these...
I'm too busy laughing to finish this post...all I would recommend is that you charge double the usual rate!

Double? I think 16.67X the usual rate.
But that would be unethical, wouldn't it? LOL!
Just consider...more damage would make it inauthentic!

That's why I'm dying here! I'm picturing someone bent out of shape because of the scratch on his Jeff Beck Esquire...or worse yet, he's distrustful of your repair because he loses track of which scratch you were supposed to re-distress! Haaaa, shoulda boughta car!
