As for the ******** about Genesis "Abandoning" prog rock after Hackett's departure.
"And then there were three" has "Down and Out", "Deep in the motherload" and "Scenes From A Night Dream"
"Duke" has "Heathaze", "Duke's Travels" and "Duke's end"
"Abacap" has "Dodo Lurker"
"Genesis" (The "Mama" album) has "Second home by the sea"
"Invisible touch" has "Tonight, tonight, tonight" "Domino" and "The Brazillian"
"We can't dance" has "Driving the last spike"
All of which are long pieces of incredible musicianship and unusual passages, in short: Prog rock.
So I saw Genesis live today
I like pretty much all of Genesis' music, both with and without Peter Gabriel. But, I never investigated "Calling All Stations". Even with their lineup changes, I still think they had a very strong musicianship to everything they did. Their whole catalog is very enjoyable.
Things did get to be a bit boring between Mike and the Mechanics and Phil's solo career, but hey, it was the 80's and there was a lot of that going on.

I thought some folks here might be interested in seeing some pretty good pictures of the new Genesis stage set that they are trucking around on their latest tour ("Zoo T.V." meets "Close Encounters"). But seriously, it looks like one amazing show:
