Just sold it on Ebay a couple days ago. You could have gotten a bargain!

I just got a 250, the day after I bought a Crate Power block. I don't need both but the Power Block is only 150 watts. THe Crate is more versatile and you could email Dane Wilder for info, as he has both also. I need to off one or the other, but would feel more comfy with the 250. Whichever I sell will go for a buck a watt.

Im kinda looking for an ampeg to go with the Ampeg 15 cab I just got. I didnt catch this thread till late. My cab is 8 ohms. Will the Portabass run at 8?

That is what I have, but my cab isn't Ampeg. I haven't played it in a band setting, but Jeffrey and Dane should be able to tell you how it holds up live.

Mine was fine with an 8 Ohm cabinet as long as the gig didn't get overly loud. You might want to consider a single 4 Ohm cabinet to get the most out of the PB250.

BTW I sold mine for a $/W, including a custom made two space rack panel that easily mounted to the amp.
