The bass is an '82 transition 4003 bought on Talkbass as a basket case. It had new-made trussrods and a fair bit of original parts.
The neck pickup is a 70s Hi-gain; the bridge pickup is what it looks like, made by who you think it was (years ago, before he stopped for good). The circuit is the typical mono type with an .047 tone cap for each pickup. There is no third cap for the bridge pickup.
Some of you who spend time on other bass forums will know the owner as "Lord Bongo"...he's actually a friend of Sterling Ball, and a very vocal devotee of the modern EBMM basses, but *had* to have a Rickenbacker for those Beatle tunes. He's going to have great fun with this one.
