Why are they so much in a hurry?

I don't know what it is about that song--but I really love it. One of the best covers I ever heard was by a lounge band at a Sheraton Hotel bar in Anchorage back in the mid-80s. They had two female vocalists, and covered a lot of Heart stuff, but at one point broke into this song. I still remember it...

Wow, they were in a hurry. Completed the song in 1:46.

Great song, written by Jack Nitzsche and Sonny Bono.

I always liked the live Tom Petty and Stevie Nicks version.

This is one of those songs I so dearly wish I could play well on guitar.

Hey guys it's not that hard, it starts in the key of A and does a transition to D from the bridge into the last verse. A-F#m-A-F#m-A-F#m-D-E ...2 verses of this progression(the Turtles left out a verse),then into the bridge: ..walk down from E-Eb-to D-Db to C-Cb to Bb resolves into A then start the last verse in key of D. ,D-Bm-D-Bm-G-A ends on a fade out of D to Bm several times. The Searchers version..Now my all time favorite by Jackie DeShannon. Key of C. Verse: C-Am-C-Am-C-Am-F-G .Bridge: G-Gb-E-Eb-D-Db-C-B..key change to E-Dbm-E-Dbm-E-Dbm-A-B..fade on E-Dbm

Any key that fits into your vocal range is best especially D so you can get that pinky finger to do the g and open e note while you are playing the chords...

A stellar song to play in A with a Rick 12-string.
