Paul, when this thing is finally strung and ready to play, would you take a couple of shots (or maybe even a brief video) of the converter comb in action (with the owner's blessing, of course). I'd love to see it/hear it. Thanks!

Mark, Super is a better word. I wasn't aware there really is a Hyper Perfectionist catagory - upon googling, I found it carries negative connotations. I was just trying to convey that Paul really cares about the quality of what he does.

Wow. My sincerest thanks to you guys and gals!

Being in the deadline-driven design and prototyping business for about 35 years before even having attempted my first Rick restoration, I had to acquire certain working methods out of necessity. There's nothing like having to earn a living by customer service, to teach a craftsman to be practical while working to give his output his best efforts.

In any event, I've learned a number of important lessons and had numerous insights while "zenning out" on one project or another. The one applicable here is that perfectionism is not a struggle between a man and his materials and methods; it's a battle between a man and himself, and once this is realized, it can be put into its proper place (not the workplace).

Anyway, all craft comes down to appropriate toilet training.

Giving this one a very gentle bump because I can't wait to see it all done.

Maybe I'm just a sad, lonely man, but this is one of the sexiest pictures I've seen in a long time. Great work, Paul!

We're still waiting for the last few correct parts to come in, and then it's off to its new home. Up to the owner whether he wishes to risk UPS pre-Christmas, but I'm a bit hesitant about this.

From the photos, that's excellent work.

The thing I like about this more than anything else however, is that it appears to return the instrument to it's former glory in lieu of it becoming something else. Call me a die-hard, but I'm a firm believer in keeping instruments to original specs as far as is possible.

Paul I'm speechless! Phenomenal.

I'm having a hard time buying a new guitar at the moment because all I want is a PW refurb project!

It;s kind of a shame to clutter up that lovely fingerboard with strings.....

Being it came from a third world country, It's truly amazing it survived being eaten. Beautiful job, PW.
