A sideboard looks like this. It was a desireable seventies item which might contain a stereogram, a drinks cabinet, or a pop-up Rediffusion colour tele.
Sideburns look like what our Noddy is wearing here. An undesirable seventies item which you might find in your stereogram, containing your drinks cabinet, or, er, on your tele.
Re: I need a jacket like this.
Mark in your drinks sideboard would there be any Martini Roso and any Babycham and Some catchy Abba 33s

I thought those were called "mutton chop" sideburns, or just "mutton chops", or even just "chops" for short.godber wrote:Kenny, I hate to criticise but...I need a jacket like this.

I think that's a mid-century Danish-style item, yes?

Well JOHN says they're sideboards:

Ringo too:

...although mine do look more like Noddy's.
The stereogram above looks pretty boss though. We always called them console stereos, I have a late '60s Panasonic console with a 4-speed changer and an open-reel deck!
