I already have the sideboards to match.

Kenny, I hate to criticise but...

A sideboard looks like this.
Seventies Sideboard.gif
It was a desireable seventies item which might contain a stereogram, a drinks cabinet, or a pop-up Rediffusion colour tele.

Sideburns look like what our Noddy is wearing here.

An undesirable seventies item which you might find in your stereogram, containing your drinks cabinet, or, er, on your tele.

I think that's a mid-century Danish-style item, yes?

I thought those were called "mutton chop" sideburns, or just "mutton chops", or even just "chops" for short.

You weren't talking about Don Johnson's jacket? I still have that jacket. Not really. Petty's coat is definitely you Kenny. Most definitely you.

Well JOHN says they're sideboards:

Ringo too:

...although mine do look more like Noddy's.

The stereogram above looks pretty boss though. We always called them console stereos, I have a late '60s Panasonic console with a 4-speed changer and an open-reel deck!
