At this point I'm thinking of hanging onto the gold hardware in case I decide to restore it to original. Highly unlikely though. Once I have all the chrome in place I may sell the gold hardware, stay tuned.
Does anybody want to swap a white with black letters TRC for a black with gold letters TRC along with the appropriate mounting screws? In fact I'd swap the knurled knobs and the gold nut for mounting the selector switch.

I don't have a digital camera, the pics I posted were taken by a friend who came up from Texas a while ago, but I plan on getting one soon.
Soundwise Claudia sounds great, very Chris Squireish when played with a pick, and that is with TI flats. It can even get kind of Jacoish using the bridge pickup by itself and rolling back the tone control some. Overall I think it is pretty versatile sounding.

Jeffery, that flame looks really nice.
Has anyone seen the one on Ed Roman's site? This one is just too plain: http://www.edromanguitars.com/avail/bass/rickenbacker/4004cNat.jpg

Getting the black tuners is easy ... getting a good black bridge that is similar to the one on there is easy ... getting black knobs is easy ... they may be slightly different in shape and size ... the hard part is getting black pickup surrounds ... you may have to use chrome ones ...
I think the black trim on a 4004CII mapleglo would be strikingly good looking ...
