Dear friends, I am overwhelmed by your concerns and wishes for me. Although it is not so very easy right now, I find a great comfort in reading this thread. Thank you so much for encouraging me like this.

I will get back on a more personal level later on. I know you'll understand that I won't reply to any emails for the moment.
Just FYI, I will start with my first session of the time-consuming restoration at the neurological rehab center on Feb 27th.

I really never think in terms of if I will recover well, only when and I have already agreed to play with a band on May 9th for a one evening performance. Hopefully I can keep this promise.

Thanks again!

Take care, all of you!

Wishing you a full recovery Bjorn,
I just went through an aweful knee surgury and long recovery for which 10 days was spent at the hospital. Nothing compared to what you are going through but know that
there is always better days. It seemed like I would not walk right for the first few weeks but slowly I recovered and walk fine although the pain comes and goes.
I really hope that your future brings good things as the days go on and that you do make that May performance.
Hang in there, and thanks for letting us know how you are doing.

Bjorn,

Good to see you here.

I've worked with many people over the years who have been affected by stroke. Please work as hard as you can on your physical therapy. Hard work, along with the positive mindset you already have, will enable you to progress as quickly as possibly. Don't let frustration or impatience get in the way of your long term goals. Stay strong, positive and succeed....

Have a listen to Bjorn's Strat Meets 330 These are two highly creative solos. Why am I not surprised.

I picked up this thread a tad late. I, too, wish Bjorn a very speedy recovery. I have two dear friends who both suffered major strokes over the last few years, and both have been inspiring in their fights to recover. One is nearly 95% recovered, the other is about 60%, but he says he is going to keep fighting, and plans to dance at his daughter's wedding. Hang in there, Bjorn; we are all pulling and praying for you!

Thanks for posting that link, Peter. The 330 piece is just so tastefully beautiful. How I'd like to do it if I had the talent.

You're welcome John and so accurate in your comment about his skill. In a word, brilliant. Bjorn has a genius that he has yet to discover which I believe will continue to move him forward in the days ahead.
