When I first started installing Accent vibratos on my Ricks, I was somewhat concerned that I was going to accidentally skewer my forearm on the end of the vib arm if it happened to be angled up, but it never happened.wj350 wrote:Let's not forget the vib arm on the Accent!!

I seem to recall reading somewhere that Pete Townshend once stabbed his hand pretty badly with an Accent vibrato in a concert, which is what sent him into his Ric-smashing frenzy.... I don't know if that's a true story or not, but I can see how it could happen!

That's not true. The Ric Pete smashed had a Gibson ES-175 tailpiece fixed onto it.

Er, which one?

I'm gonna have a random guess and say the one on the far right.

Actually I read about those things (620/660) being somewhat neck-heavy when they have 12 tuners, so there is a totally logical explanation...

Pete, in Rickenbacker, by Richard Smith:sloop_john_b wrote:What happened to the other ones?
The guitars on the wall in the famous picture by Colin Jones of the Observer were all taken by a roadie to be repaired by his father. I never saw them again.
