Indeed. Which reminds me, I missed the film ("Control") like an idiot whilst it was shown at the local cinema recently. Must get hold of it on DVD.

Great sound through that set-up. Cool tunes, too.

I already posted this on the Rickenbacker Recordings By RickResource Forum Members thread, but here it is again. Me playing my version of 'I Want To Hold Your Hand.' The bass is a 1979 4001SLH played through a SWR SM-400 head and Hiwatt 4x12 cab.

And, yes. Beau (lead singer) does sound like Elvis Costello.
I really like those clips. Never come across the band before. Going to have to pick up something of theirs. Thanks for posting!

Erik, you definitely have a "bass in your face" sound with your 4003 BlueBoy through your Transonic cabinet. Even more so in person. Cool tunes! :D
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Here are two more of McCartney playing the 4001S in 1987. They are live:

The links were posted by Gary in the Beatles Forum, but I wasn't sure how many folks checked that one as well.

Here's the Desert Rose Band. John Jorgenson has a Ric 12, but I can't tell what it is. It appears to be a cresting wave with 3 toasters in a light blue (blueboy-ish) color. There's someone's signature on the pickguard. Can anyone tell what model it is?

Just a note--the "F" bodied Rick in the second vid is a Rickenfaker, built by an Aussie luthier, Piers Crocker. He calls it a "Crockenbacker".
