I was looking on their website at that guitar they have in the same body style. Looks kind of cool, but it looks so cheap.

The low-end Jacksons are also made in India, by the way.

Maybe you could pick me up a genuine "Ragamaster", Dain. (Indian Jazzmaster).

Paul, I've finally figured out why that avatar doesn't bother you - you see it normally - you live in California - The Earthquake State!

Strangely enough, the only real electric sitar I know about (forget about that Rick bass ripoff, I don't want to hear about it) is the Rajah, which appears to have been made in Japan.

i think the whole point of this thread is that a lot of what happens in india STAYS in india. but the rajah is definitely the only "production" electric sitar that i've seen on this side of the pond. although in melbourne i found a couple sitars (and strangely a bellzouki) that were outfitted with pickup systems that appeared to be carved out of (fake i presume) ivory that looked to be from the 70s. i'm pretty sure those were from an india company...

jeez i need to post in another thread before i pigeonhole myself...

Here's a nice electric veena, sounds like humbuckers, I guess it could use better pickups though:

I am really curious about those tabla machines. Obviously the newer ones are all digital because they want them to sound like real tablas, but I know those things have been around for quite a while, I wonder if they ever made analog versions.

I somehow don't see that bass and that guitar as a B.C. Rich Eagle copy, although I don't claim to have seen all the Eagle shapes ever made. It looks more like a Warmoth Z body, which I don't know if it is a Warmoth design or a copy of something.
