For some reason, a Sea Green 620 with toasters rings a bell - I think I've seen a pic of a similar guitar at some point. I hope it works out Brian, and if you are looking to flip it, drop me a line! :D

I also would like to know ... maybe Brian is mesmerized by the guitar's beauty? :)

Not yet. I wasn't able to go check it out last Friday. I'm definitely going this Friday. If it's actually a Sea Green, I'm definitely getting it. The only bad thing is, depending on how quickly my paypal transfer goes through, I may not be able to take it home with me on Friday. But rest assured, if it's a Sea Green, or even a Blueboy, it will be mine. As I said, I'm not against flipping it or using it as trade bait, as it's not something I've been specifically looking for, but it may be a keeper as well. I will get pictures when I go check it out Friday.

If you decide to sell, do give us a shot here, Brian - as you know, we practically never see any Sea Greens!

I know the sea green is less common, but the blueboy I think is my favorite Ric color. Next favorite would be montezuma, then fireglo, which is what I have. I don't think at this point in my life that I could justify paying more for the same guitar in a different color. Maybe some day.

Excerpt from actual lyrics to "Orbit Pants" by J Dog:

Did you bring it?
Did you bring it?
Did you bring it?
Did you bring it?
Did you bring it?
Did you bring it?
Did you bring it?
Did you bring it?
Did you bring it?
Did you bring it?
Did you bring it?
Did you bring it?
Did you bring it?
Did you bring it?
No I think that I forgot it.

Well, some good news and some bad news. Good news is that I got it. Bad news is that it's not Sea Green. It is, in fact, a 620VP in a yellowed Blueboy finish. It is yellowed to a nice Seafoam, but even though the salesman tried to tell me differently, it is definitely a Blueboy. Just so everyone knows, it was at GC in Cincinatti. A friend tipped me off on it before I was going to come down to visit him, so I called and they were kind enough to hold it for me. Also, if anyone is interested, they had a near mint '99 360/12v64 in Fireglo for $1999, and I think you could talk them down on it a bit. Apparently they came from the same guy. The salesman I talked to, Ron (hell of a nice guy) said that about a year ago the guy traded in a 620 in Autumnglo. I would have loved to see that one. Well, anyways, here are a couple of quick pictures I shot of it. I'll get some better ones tomorrow when I have better natural light. It's quite overcast today. I'll do a tad bit of cleaning and setup tonight, and it will be ready to go. I don't think I'll be keeping it, so I'll give a little time for trade/sale offers from interested parties, and if nothing flips my lid then I'll put it up on ebay. I'm interested in the following items in trade (either straight across, or with cash on your end depending on what you've got): 5002v58 Mandolin, a 650 with the VH vibrato option, a 360 6-string, a Fender Jazzmaster or Jaguar (either AVRI, Elvis Costello, or J. Mascis), or maybe a good tube combo ('59 Bassman, '65 DRRI, Supersonic, or Zinky). A combination of two of the above would also be great. Also, I should mention that the guitar comes with the standard black molded Ric case.

I'm jealous. That's the 620 I wanted, but I had to settle for a '90 620 FG (which now has 650 PUs and a trapeze tailpiece). I'm tempted to offer my '95 360 FG, but then I'd have 2 620s instead of 1 of each.

P.S. How's that Zinky treating you? I was able to drive up to Flagstaff and pick up a custom Zinky 25W combo a few weeks ago (blue with cream grille). Got a tour and hung out with Bruce Zinky for a couple hours. Really nice guy. Do you know if yours has the effects loop upgrade? It make an awesome difference in the sound and clean headroom. It's $100 to have Bruce upgrade it. I highly recommend it.
