There are Howard, and Fender loves each and every one of them.ozover50 wrote:I'm sure there are millions who disagree with you Bob..... me included!......on the whole they are played by bland people who make bland music for people who have bland lives.
So tell us what the non-bland play to make the non-bland music for the non-bland people!
It's probably a bit unfair of me to solely put the blame on the guitar itself, but it just seems that most of the music I seriously dislike is played by people on strats. Nah, forget that. It's just a ****, over rated and over priced guitar that I hate.
But, It's not always what you play, it's how you play it, and it seems to me that every other strat player must get gurning lessons for when they're laying down yet another boring solo, maaaan.
When I was at the record company, and we'd go and see these bands that if we were unlucky would have someone playing lead solos all night on a strat. Invariably they'd have that 'look' on their face as they were playing. We used to call 'em 'Blander StratoGurners'.
Then we'd leave.
BTW. The lead guitarist in my band plays a vintage strat as well as a Les Paul and a 330/12. If it wasn't for the 330/12 he'd be a gonner!
