Re: 4003FL
Should be the same, but trends in retail indicate otherwise.
Before the big price increases of late, I hit a store in St. Louis once, and they had a 4003FL for $2300. Don't know how they justified that one... at all.

Re: 4003FL
Since the 4003FL is currently not being made, that might tend to drive prices up a bit.
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...
Re: 4003FL
So, hypothetically speaking, a new 4003FL for $1500 is a good deal right?

Re: 4003FL
It's not only a good deal, it's below the price of a new 4003. A new 4003 goes for $1900 these days.targ wrote:So, hypothetically speaking, a new 4003FL for $1500 is a good deal right?

Re: 4003FL
From the Ric price list, 4003 RRP = $2159, So you'd be getting a 30% discount. Not too shabby in my books.targ wrote:So, hypothetically speaking, a new 4003FL for $1500 is a good deal right?
In the current market, you may find a better deal if you try really hard, but the additional saving won't be huge!

Re: 4003FL
So, tell where it is so we can try to steal it for that price.
Re: 4003FL
So, you noticed a lack of information?
Still trying to justify it in my mind...

Re: 4003FL
A fretless is less coveted by most, and nearly always should be lower than a fretted bass.
