Ha...I need to get on the stick and get my basement done...First step, get rid of most of what's down there.

Seriously, that is a great idea for the 'man cave', a great way to store them.....

...
Which is exactly why I asked for the plans, I wouldn't dream how much would it would cost to ship it to Israel :)

Gil...I would be glad to give you pics with dimensions but for the most part a lot of it was figured out on the fly.
Grrrrrrr... you pros :)
Thanks Steve, I'll take a raincheck on your offer, first - we need to build our house, the cabinet won't fit in the current one :(
(On the other hand - this means you might be able to complete the plans, I know I will be willing to pay for such an amazing thing).
So long and thanks for all the fish!

I think Jdog got the man cave thing from me when he stopped by a couple of weeks ago .... I just had a 500 s.f. room addition done so I would have a place to put my growing bass collection and also for a practice space, home theater, etc.
At a price of 55k to build it's a little bit more expensive than the "bass case for ten" (awesome job Steve, btw) but I have enough wall space to hang about 30 basses if I need to. I still have to deal with where to put the cases tho- . Here's a pic that Jdog took when he stopped by, I'll take some more when I get the time.

Stick bigger wheels on it, attach a hitch and some lights, and just trailer one home!

Well, that's for materials. Surely your time is worth a fair amount too. How many hours did it take to produce those works of art?
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

I didn't keep track of my time but I would guess 4-5 days.
