Tony is locked in his home listening to "Relayer" in the dark, hoping the 17th gets here soonjps wrote:I am surprised, no comments from Tony!
Woody, Jeff answered. I put the link there for later when that issue is online.woodyng wrote:ermmm, john, i couldn't see anything mentioning chris on that bp link..........? or was that your reason for posting it...? yeah,i met chris once in dallas,he is one big fella when you're standing face to face....
Small townie here too... I feel your pain.cheyenne wrote:, I hang my head in shame...I MUST TRACK DOWN A COPY! I can't even find a store in this county that sells Bassplayer! 15,000.00 guitar magazines, NEVER Bassplayer. MOOCHES!
I like BP a lot--have been subscribing only since July '07 though. If I have any complaints, it's that they generally don't take people who play Rics seriously. CS is a rare exception (to be honest I was surprised they gave him this much attention). Boutique basses, Fenders, and most any other basses are fair game for them to rave about... but Rics? Bleh, they say. Oh well. I don't benefit from the magazine's choice of instruments, what I tend to like are the interviews with the smarter players and sometimes the lessons.johnallg wrote:Chris is certainly looking trim and fit! Great article, and informative too. Glad to see BP fawning over him - Chris is not the usual handful of players they fall all over. Sorry if that offends, but BP has been getting repetitively boring this past year. IMHO

Dammit Jim "using my best Dr. McCoy voice" C'mon down! We'd have a LOT to talk about!just_bassics wrote:Cool, Woody, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I was planning on going to two shows on this tour but wound up at three - I'll tell that story after the tour wraps up. If I could get to my old hometown of Orlando next week, I'd happily take in a fourth show! All of the shows I attended were up close, personal, like I could hear fingers scaping on strings, nothing lost in the system, great lighting, clear mix... I know I'm driving poor Tony crazy here![]()

PASS the paper bag please! Inhale...............Exhale....................Inhale........................ You know, isn't there some kind of rule about cruel and unusual punishment?just_bassics wrote:I left all three shows wondering how any fans of Chris Squire, Steve Howe or Yes could have passed this up...? Seeing the 175 and 4001S in action again after so long was indeed worth all the miles driven, and the added treats made 37 years of listening all the better. What a classy bunch of guys (and gal) they are!
Tony, deep breaths, easy does it, the 17th is almost here! Then we can review the show and all of it's intricate nuances in detail...
