I bought a Kustom 200 with 2-215 cabs in blue sparkle tuck'n'roll back in about 1970 or 71. This was an upgrade from a Fender Bassman with 2-12's. Mostly, I remember everyone screaming at me to turn it down, windows rattling, and angry parents. But just last night we played a gig at a 500 seat venue where I was using a Genz Benz NeoPak with a NeoX 210 cab. The sound guys said I was so loud that they took me out of the system. (darn bass haters) Even though the Kustom was excellent at the time, I eventually sold it. I couldn't say how it compares to modern equipment because my memory isn't that good.mikes123 wrote:I was wondering if there were any other Kustom Amp users on this forum. I'm not talk about affordable practice amps that you get on musiciansfiend, but the padded vinyl ones of the 60's and 70's. I pick one up a month ago I I think its one of the best sounding amps I've played through. The amp has two separate channels which work wonderfully with a ric-o-sound kit and its LOUD! I was curious if anybody else would like to comment on these great amps.
