Good for you, Jake. I'm sure it couldn't happen to a better person. Merry Christmas, buddy.

Jim -- We can hope Santa will be bringing your new 360/12 soon!

Kevin -- thanks for posting pics. I don't think I could do half the job you could at photo-taking.

My mom is taking me to New Orleans tomorrow so I can put my Stratocaster on consignment to raise money for a new tube amp! I'm going to be jangling and rocking this Christmas, won't I?

Having the 1997 and new tube amp means only one thing...I'm gonna have to play at my uncle's Christmas party. I'm thinking a short two song set of "Substitute" by The Who and "Free Fallin" by Tom Petty.

Hooray, Jake! You now have your heart's desire--at least for now. Kevin is a really good guy and deserves a big cheer, too, for making your dream come true.

Now, be patient and when that puppy comes out of its case, let's see it in your hands. Pictures, please!

Paul -- This heart's desire is going to satisfy me for a while. It's weird. Since I paid for it, I haven't checked eBay or Gbase... My mom is planning to take some pics of me with the 1997 on Saturday...notably one of me standing next to my Pete Townshend limited edition poster and another of me looking like PT on the "Maximum R&B" poster

Wes -- We ALL feel that way, trust me.

Jake -- I'm happy for you just knowing how happy you are (does that make sense?). :) Congratulations my friend. Now go make a video and post it on YouTube so that we can all see that big smile :D on your face and that beautiful guitar in your hands.

Kevin, my hat's off to you. In the world of karma you've got a bunch of the good stuff coming your way.

Jake, all the hard work pays off, no?! What a great Christmas present, great timing. Having seen many of Kevin's beauties, I can imagine the condition that 1997 is in and I'd have loved to seen the look on your face as the case opened. Congrats are indeed finally in order.

Kevin, what a fine thing to do. Have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year. Sure hope retirement is treating you as a king, you are "Da Man"!

Stories like this always remind me why I like this forum so much......................it's great people like Kevin and unbridled excitement like Jake is sharing that leaves me comfortable in the knowledge that we have a fantastic community of friends here on this board.

I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiments, Brian.

Jake, congratulations on finally securing your dream guitar. I'm sure many of us older members will identify with how you're feeling right now. I look forward to seeing some photos with you and your 1997.

Kevin, you are first class, all the way. :D
