Yeah, this reminds me of when I got my first and second Ricks (91 360/12 FG and 67 900 MG in the mid 1990's). I couldn't stop playing them, and even took them to gigs where let's face it, a Rick was not really the best guitar to bring (jazz), but I didn't care, I loved 'em and brought 'em anyways! The bug didn't just bite you Jake, it laid eggs in your brain. May you never recover! :)

More than a guitar passed hands here - a new generation acquires a Rickenbacker and an appreciation for the brand.

A touching story. Congratulations Jake. Very nice work Kevin. Certainly a Rickenbacker moment for the RRF record book.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

I've been playing it all morning. It suits the music I play very well. I can easily nail the tones of The Beatles and The Who as well as Tom Petty and The Stones.

Peter McCormack -- I registered my new 1997...have you gotten the record for it?

My mom is taking me to New Orleans tomorrow so I can put my Stratocaster on consignment to raise money for a new tube amp!

I'm telling ya. You will get ripped off trying to sell it on consignment somewhere (plus the wait will be unbearable). You will be 1,000x more successful taking some halfway decent pics and listing it on Ebay, and shipping. It's really not that hard, and doesn't cost as much (as the difference between consignment or not will!).
