I used the 1997 last night at my Uncle's Christmas party...everyone was impressed with my playing...until I broke a string during my last song! I was mad, and stopped playing altogether (cos I broke the string that was needed in the song) but I was still applauded by my family.

I went home to restring it with a set of Ric Compressed Roundwounds, when I ended up stringing them the wrong way (a way I really can't tell you how I did it), so I bought 3 packs of Thomastik-Infeld flatwounds in 10 gauge for the 1997. I'm sure I'll love the flats all the same
