It was -20 F this morning but it has warmed up to about -8 F.Tommorrow it will be -25 F.I moved my humidifier right up next to my guitar cases so now I got the humidity up to 30% in that part of the room.I also bought a clay pot humidifier and put it in the case with my 360v63.While I had the case open I took the 360v63 out and played "The Little Black Egg".

Nice tune, Mitch.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Thanks Peter! This is one of my favorites. Here is some info about this song from wiki:

"The Nightcrawlers (1960s group)
The Nightcrawlers were a regional Daytona Beach, Florida band with a minor hit single, "The Little Black Egg", recorded in 1965. The single ultimately reached 85 on the national charts after it's third re-release in 1967. The group had two other singles "A Basket of Flowers" and "I Don't Remember". The main members were: Pete Thomason, Sylvan Wells, Robbie Rouse, Chuck Conlon and Tommy Ruger.

Their sound is best described as sparse folk rock, popularized by The Byrds, The Beau Brummels, etc. They did one LP album for Kapp Records, but the original lineup disbanded in 1966, before the final (and most popular) release of "The Little Black Egg". The reformed Nightcrawlers did one more single for Kapp, "My Butterfly" written by band member Sylvan Wells, in a more hard rock vein and then disbanded. The main songwriter, Charlie Conlon, later reformed the group under the name "Conlon and the Crawlers, although the group never recorded again after 1967. The group continued with different members and eventually disbanded in 1970.

Although the group never gained wide fame, the simple hook of "The Little Black Egg" destined it to become a favorite cover for the garage bands of the era. In 2000, a retrospective CD with 24 cuts was released by Big Beat.Outsider music specialist Irwin Chusid claimed that the song started his interest in "odd songs"

My part of Minnesota is much warmer that where Melissa (melibreits) lives. That's the North Country Dylan and Johny Cash sang about.

Dreich..I like it! Not sure how to pronounce it but I imagine with a roll of the tongue. That and "Numpty" will now have a permanent place in my vocabulary
