R.E.M. Rising
I picked up a copy of this in Catonsville, MD on my travels for $2.99. What a deal! It sounds pretty good for an early 80's live recording, and oh the Rick tones. Perhaps my ears are deceiving me, but I think it's 4001 & 360 all the way through, right? anyone else have this recording?

Re: R.E.M. Rising
What year is the show from?
Re: R.E.M. Rising
July 9, 1983. it's a somewhat common recording, googlable.
Re: R.E.M. Rising
If I'm not mistaken, this is the show featured on the 25th anniversary deluxe edition of Murmur (though several of the songs, e.g., Wolves, Lower, have been omitted for some reason). I haven't seen any video clips, but I think you're correct about the all-Rick guitars, as other shows from the same period feature them. That's definitely PB's 360 I hear.
1988 360 JG, 2008 660-12 AFG, 2009 330 FG

i would guess if this show was around the time "murmur" was recorded, mike was still using the 4001,as that album definitely had rickbass all over it,still easily my favorite rem lp.......
