68 RIC 375
I have aquire a 1968 Rickenbacker 375 fireglow. This guitar is in perfect condition. There are no dents or gouges. It plays soooo sweet. I have every thing that it came with. A gray rectangle case with blue velvet, original strap,, wipe cloth, cord, ricken-sound box, all paper work. Does anybody know what it's value would be?
Re: 68 RIC 375
Is it double bound? Or just binding on the backside?
Re: 68 RIC 375
Hello Mark, welcome to the forum. If you can please post a picture -- it sounds like you have one beautiful guitar.
The world is made of stories not atoms and every guitar has a story.
Re: 68 RIC 375
It is bound only on the back. It kind of has a serrerated look.
I will post pictures soon.

Welcome, Mark! Sounds like a very nice guitar!

Re: 68 RIC 375
Cool, a 375 New Style. The "serrated look" is checked or checkered binding. Depending on condition and the ****** economy.....maybe $3000. - $4500.? A pic or three would be nice.

I like the fact that it has all the 'candy' with it......sounds like a great find.

Um, if I found some candy from 1968 I don't think I would eat it!leftybass wrote:I like the fact that it has all the 'candy' with it......sounds like a great find.

Re: 68 RIC 375
Case candy...an interesting topic. I wonder if it was coined in response to the NAMM Fender Life Savers (1/2 pack size) that dealers used to have in plastic tubs on their counters back in the '60s? These found their way into many a case compartment, along with literature, polish cloth, and other factory packs.
Re: 68 RIC 375
I've always wanted a 375... like a 360 but with 3 pickups and only 21 frets.I've seen mention of a 375/12 but cant find a picture of one. Does anyone have one?
Re: 68 RIC 375
I don't think any 375-12 models were made, as that would make it a three pickup, twelve string, vibrato-equipped instrument. Try keeping that baby in tune!brammy wrote:I've always wanted a 375... like a 360 but with 3 pickups and only 21 frets. I've seen mention of a 375/12 but cant find a picture of one. Re: 68 RIC 375
Looking up pictures or 370's, it appears that some have 21 frets and some 24 frets.
