OK, here's a few pix, of the Noob meeting the rest of the family. I've ordered a Tortoiseshell pickguard from Pickguardian, as I love the look against the Mapleglo finish, as can be seen from my 370/12 VP MG just to the right side of the photo. :D :D :D :D :D ImageImageImage

So, after much soul-searching, wavering, wimping out, trials & trepidation, and a surprise egging-on from my wife, I finally came home this afternoon with an amp worthy of my new 4003. It's a spanking new Markbass CMD 151 Jeff Berlin Signature Combo and I'm lovin' this thing to death right now. Thanks for all the advice folks - I couldn't be happier (if somewhat poorer) :D :D :D :D :D
