That's what I was thinking, yeah. Though I'm not sure that full-on bass and full-on treble would sound very good either!badeggs wrote:Oh I beg to differ!sloop_john_b wrote:No bass sounds good with full-on treble!

Well I do consider cutting the cap to be sacrilege (so you know my feelings on treble!) but still I typically like 100% bridge and about 85% neck. All or nothing doesn't usually work I agree!sloop_john_b wrote:That's what I was thinking, yeah. Though I'm not sure that full-on bass and full-on treble would sound very good either!
Oh, I dunno, Chris. Could I get in on that deal?Chris P wrote:
Well, Bethan, I wanted to make a joke about meeting and you swapping your clothes for my 4005WB, but I don't think people would appreciate that dirty thoughts here;)
Welcome, Bethan!JakeK wrote:The best thing to do is save your dollars and get a 60's 4005. I'd love to hear a 4005 with the bridge pickup and full on amp treble playing "The Seeker" by the Who.
The only way to really get the THUMP and GANK. Two Ricks and different strings.kennyhowes wrote:I've been toying with going to TI flats on my 4005. Problem is, at that point I've committed my main bass to being full-on THUMP and not GANK.
Which of course is why I need to get my 4001 up to 100%, as the GANK is just as desirable as the the THUMP.
Gank is in the ears of the beholder.kennyhowes wrote:as the GANK is just as desirable as the the THUMP.
