The remastered box set is absolutely fantastic! The previously unseen footage has been well restored (and there's a good amount of it), and the 5.1 surround sound on everything is awesome. They really did a great job with this box set, and it's worth every penny.
BTW, Sony Legacy is issuing (at the end of this month) albums by five of the Woodstock performers that were originally released in 1969. These are limited and numbered deluxe two CD editions, with the second disc being
their entire Woodstock set!!! The titles are:
Jefferson Airplane
Volunteers
Janis Joplin
I Got Den Ol' Kosmic Blues Again Mama
Santana
Santana
Sly And The Family Stone
Stand!
Johnny Winter

Of greatest interest here (to me) is the Johnny Winter set, as there has previously been only one Johnny Winter Woodstock song issued -
Mean Town Blues. And that has been edited.
Rhino is also releasing a six disc box set on Woodstock, containing a mix of already released and even more unreleased Woodstock tracks. This is due out August 15th. Keep your eyes open for that.
Ka is a wheel.
