Very nice, Brian! :D

What's with the upper guard, looks to be from a three pickup instrument?

I admit, I have only been scanning this thread, so perhaps, there is an answer there, already.

It had no upper guard when I bought it Jeff and I had that one laying around in my parts bin. The guards will be replaced in any event with gold guards and I have decided to put oven knobs on it as well. :D

Believe it or not Kira, Penny helped me settle on the bid value. She loves the colour of this guitar. Probably because it's vintage looking.

John I took the guards off when I received it and yes it appears to be X braced.

That's a great looking guitar Brian. I love the elegant headstock with the slightly longer neck. Many congratulations!

That is stunning, Brian.
I've become a 330 convert myself, recently having purchased one in JG.
Just missed out on a FG as well.
How does it sound?

Believe it or not Greg, it sounds fantastic with the HB-1's.

Beauty!!
Hotter, crisper sound? Are the pots and wiring stock, or did his luthier add some magic there as well. I know you have a lot of experience with toasters and hi-gains, and I would describe my experiences with HB1s to be the least crisp of the 3. Just curious.
Congrats again, and leave that glorious FG alone!

Mike I am strongly considering using this guitar to record an old blues song written by Walter Vinson and Lonnie Chatmon and made famous by Howlin Wolf in 1957 called "Sitting On Top Of The World". If I do use it, the guitar will speak for itself on the track. I'll send you a copy once we are finished, so you can hear the tone I chose for yourself.
