Hey guys -

Sorry about the late response. For some reason I've not been getting the usual email notifications on the posts on this thread. I didn't see this latest exchange (starting with Peter's query at the top of page 7) until Peter gave me the nudge just now. Hopefully by posting here today my notifications will reactivate. (????? Not sure how that really works) Anyway, now that I'm hip to what's going on, I'll wrap up the selection process with Peter and get to the mastering.

On 'The List' of which bands will be on the CD - do you guys want to know ASAP, or wait until the CD/digital album is complete are ready for purchase?

Hi Mark,
Hope your e mail notification is now working (consider this a test).
Re knowing who made it onto the CD, maybe we should just wait until everything is ready and we can order a copy and then find out................................I jest of course! I am sure there must be others like me who need to know yesterday!!!!
Hope I made it on there.
Cheers

Thanks for the test, Keef - yes! Getting the notices now.

As you wish - we'll wait until the CD is produced before saying anything about who made the cut.

(Kidding. I DID bother to read your whole post! But I'll wait and see who else chimes in.)

I had mentioned that I would do a radio special about the CD when it came out. I may be leaving my show soon, and would need to do this ASAP. Meaning now! If I can get a hold of the songs, and maybe schedule an interview or two with musicians and maybe even someone from Rickenbacker...Kenny...Ben...John?

When they said the CD would be out in March, I assumed 2010! Only kidding.

The reason for the delay falls squarely with myself. My apology to all who have submitted entries. We are, however, going forward with the project. I will provide an update as soon as know more about the adjusted time lines.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Hi Peter,
Thank you for the message. It must be a huge logistical task to sort through all the songs etc. Like the previous two CDs it will be worth the wait.
All the best,
Keith

Mark - before you publish that list: please bear in mind that I have a tendency to press on many buttons at once when I am upset.
This could lead to many things, posts deletion, account deletion... etc...
