I have noticed that some folks won't ship Zymol.

Ace Hardware online shows it available:

http://www.acehardware.com/product/inde ... =109381984

Here's a review of the stuff on epinions.com:

http://www.epinions.com/review/Zymol_Cl ... 6284929668

I'd call around in your area and ask for product #503. I'm curious where you are that it shows, "unavailable"?

Gosh, that is such sensible, logical advice about keeping the polish-cloth clean.... I never thought of it that way before,  that my grimy, old polish-cloths are full of dust crystals !!! :( Time to throw those old polish-cloths away and store good ones in Zip loc bags ! Thanks P.W. for a good tip !

How hard/difficult are these Zymol and Scratch X stuffs to use for people who've never used it?

At least using the cloth is not difficult. I was already keeping it zipped off to keep it as clean as possible :D

...any brand recommendation? The diapers (baby and adult) we have over here at the supermarkets have an outer layer of some synthetic material. The cotton matrix is inside I guess. Or do you mean simple cotton sheets used for diaper in the '50ies and '60ies? We don't have them in the shops any more! :(

Some ecological shops carry them, but they're VERY expensive!

If simply wiping with some water I use all cotton hankies.

Diapers are like thick hankies.

They may be pricey in the eco-shops, but how many do you need? They last forever with regular laundering. And, they're very useful for, er, other stuff when you get as old as me... 8)

Here in the USA, they sell them in auto-parts stores and also in what we call hardware and home-improvement stores, and also at hobby and craft stores, where they are packaged for use as rags, but specifically indicate they are 100% cotton diaper material

Really? Cars need washing? I thought it was normal for my silver one to turn black over time

I'll have to get some diapers then next time I'm in the US!

I avoid that store at all cost - not the least because of their horrible sausages!

Anyway, they're probably made in china - do you know what the quality's lole Bert?

I've used flannel one's previously and was able to make my Rick's really Glo(w). Only problem with the flannel was it was leaving tiny parts of the substance on my basses. One wipe was enough to get rid of it. Now I have non-flannel one's, but I have not yet needed them as all my Rick's still Glo(w). 3 of my (9) Rick guitar and basses didn't get the scratchx/zymol treatment as 1 is oiled and 2 of them would have the mojo removed. The non-flannel one's feel harder. I'm not sure if thats good. Maybe I should wash them first. The description of the diapers also tell me to do this.
