frampton had had previous bad luck in the late '70's going to play australia when a 747 cargo plane crashed carrying their gear and he lost his famed "frampton comes alive" les paul custom in that mishap.

Some damage. Most of Chris's basses sustained minor damage and are already back in service. Steve lost his amps, Oliver his keyboards and the drum kit took a hit, but I believe the crew worked a small miracle and got most of it back up and running. Lots of hair dryers going that night!

The really good news, of course, is that the storm didn't hit several hours later when the venue was packed. That may have been a real disaster.

the album title "tormato" has zero to do with the word tornado, or wind storm

tormato is a play on the words "tor" and "tomato"

the photograph was made on "yes tor", which is the actual real name of a major tor in devon, actually one of the highest points in devon
