Yep, this comes up every now and again...I would love a bass on the 360OS body style. To me, the 360 body looks like a baby 4005, hence a dream of doing something along that line as well, it was just cost prohibitive.

I suppose if, and it's a pretty big if, one had the spare cash to buy a 381, 330, or 360 WB=WBBS=OS(thanks, JH!), and a 3000 series neck, and they could afford to just yank the guitar neck off, and pay to have a luthier assemble the bass neck to the guitar body, and sharpen up the headstock edges a bit to give it a more vintage-y profile (less gumby/80s profile), then one could be built without any trademark infringement, but I doubt anyone with that much spare cash is interested enough to do it.

One of you bassists needs to get really rich and famous playing RIC products enough to entice production of such a signature model. . . . nah, that wouldn't work, because there's already a backlog, and if there was an even bigger upsurge in demand for Rick basses, the decreasing backlog would go through the stratosphere again and preclude the introduction of any new models ever. . . unless maybe you moved to Japan. . .

Looks to me like that Photoshop job in the OP has the neck out of scale (too small with relation to the body) quite a bit, and that either we'd need a larger body (putting it back into Tuna Boat range) or a short scale neck. Meh...

Lol ......my Photoshop chop job was done in five minutes.
I was just messing around to see what a bass like this might look like.
I agree that proportion is key.
