It seems to me that the 100CE was based on the Eldoardo to some extent, right? Maybe? No? :?:

Surely the G100CE takes it inspiration at least in part from the Eldorado. Gretsch genetics, a new discipline emerges.

Okay, here is a simple question, which came first the Synchromatic (chicken) or the Eldorado (egg)? :lol:

Jeff: From what I have read the Synchromatic 100 was introduced in 1948 and the Eldorado did not appear on the scene until 1959. My knowledge of Gretsch instruments is minimal so I will not be surprised if there is more to the story. So in this case it seems that the Synchromatic is the egg and the Eldorado the chicken.
