Re: Midnight Blue Thought
Yes...and a vintage style guard without the humps!
Re: Midnight Blue Thought
Good eye John, I'm with ya on that one!

Re: Midnight Blue Thought
I really wish RIC had developed the "new" MID sooner. My July '08 MID 4003FL is nice, but the newer hue is stunning.
Can we have everything louder than everything else?
Re: Midnight Blue Thought
I've got a new 4004L in midnite blue and the color is so rich and pearlecent and cobalty awesome!

This Midnight Blue is very nice! I wonder who has the best Midnight Blue collection with most or all of the variations?
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!

I agree on the checker binding, and holy smokes this blue is sexy!

Let's start with the same model, a 360, for the first few photos to show the changes over the years. We'll get to some basses soon enough.
Re: Midnight Blue Thought
Now for some 4003 MIDs. Color change not as noticeable as with the 360s (this is not an easy color to photograph).
Re: Midnight Blue Thought
Here's some more guitars, the pointy-horned kind:
Re: Midnight Blue Thought
And a few more basses:
Re: Midnight Blue Thought
And we'll wrap up with a couple of solid-body 12ers:
Re: Midnight Blue Thought
My apologies for the uneven quality of the photos and lighting. The photos were taken over a number of years. This color is a chameleon and the same guitar can look totally different depending on the lighting situation. I hope there is enough variety here to give an idea of the range of shades and possibly even the progression of Midnight Blue. IMO the photo of the body of the 2009 4001C64S best captures the current version of this color. (And BTW, that's not dust, it's blue fuzz from the vintage case.)
No matter what the shade, it's a great color!
