...or..Splitwood 8)
Hmmm, not exactly what comes to my mind. Of course, winter is coming, so I've been doing a fair amount of that lately...

I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Comments from another thread refer to early Rick acoustics with this headstock design as having an "FH" designation (flared headstock?), also described as a "steerhead" design, among others: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=361531&hilit=shiloh&start=60

I'll have pics of yours, Bob (for your eyes only) as it goes into final sanding--about 2 or 3 weeks!

Daghorn?

Batwood?

Those are the only decent other ones.

Then there's "Type B". 8)

Paul,
Please excuse my ignorance, but I was wondering if it is practical to have a fretless acoustic or electric (6/12 string) guitar? At least for rhythm applicatons...I could imagine soloing may be a bit more difficult.

I think JJ has already cut the slots but hasn't installed the frets yet. At least, that's what I can make of the pictures.

Yep, always gotta cut the slots, so the frets have someplace to go.

I've seen and played a few oddball (Chinese) fretless acoustics. Kinda banjoey-sounding. Not impressed.

+1! Referring the sweet vintage Dark Burgundy and Fireglo 4001 basses a couple of pages back.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Very cool graphic. Does it spell "WHAAM!"? If so...it appears the crossbar on the second "A" is missing...oh...probably going to be covered up by hardware huh?
Because I told you before- oh, you can't do that.
