Hmmm, not exactly what comes to my mind. Of course, winter is coming, so I've been doing a fair amount of that lately...cableracer wrote:...or..Splitwoodmarc61 wrote:Dagtail - incorporates the best of both words
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...
Re: LOTS OF PROJECTS NEARING COMPLETION...
Comments from another thread refer to early Rick acoustics with this headstock design as having an "FH" designation (flared headstock?), also described as a "steerhead" design, among others: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=361531&hilit=shiloh&start=60

I'll have pics of yours, Bob (for your eyes only) as it goes into final sanding--about 2 or 3 weeks!4003 wrote:I was hoping that the 700C was mine...but it looks normal........

Those are the only decent other ones.
Then there's "Type B".

Or how's this: "the Rickenbacker snake-tongued headstock".

All I wanna do is rock!

Paul,
Please excuse my ignorance, but I was wondering if it is practical to have a fretless acoustic or electric (6/12 string) guitar? At least for rhythm applicatons...I could imagine soloing may be a bit more difficult.

I think JJ has already cut the slots but hasn't installed the frets yet. At least, that's what I can make of the pictures.cableracer wrote:Paul,

Yep, always gotta cut the slots, so the frets have someplace to go.
I've seen and played a few oddball (Chinese) fretless acoustics. Kinda banjoey-sounding. Not impressed.

+1! Referring the sweet vintage Dark Burgundy and Fireglo 4001 basses a couple of pages back.winston wrote:Wow! Both basses are beautiful Paul. Congrats to their owners.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!
Re: LOTS OF PROJECTS NEARING COMPLETION...
Very cool graphic. Does it spell "WHAAM!"? If so...it appears the crossbar on the second "A" is missing...oh...probably going to be covered up by hardware huh?
Because I told you before- oh, you can't do that.
