Took my bass for a Portrait

Post by bartyclue »

A buddy of mine is getting really good at guitar photography. He's not pleased with our session today but I thought they were great. This my blue 4003. I also bought a new Jetglo 4003 today but those pictures arent taken yet.

He's not happy with the lighting. What I have also noticed is that they arent as sharp an image as they are on my desktop for some reason.

+1 :D

Most of my pics, no matter how fancy the camera, etc., come out looking like something done by an amateur with the cheapest, disposable, point and shoot available... :(
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

I will be interested to see the photos your friend DOES like. :)

I am hopeless at photographing my guitars too. I understand light/angles etc are really important, but I STILL manage to get mine to look as if they have had a serious mutation of all genes coding for the length of the neck. Maybe I know about light/angles etc....I just don't know WHAT I should know about them.

Ho hum.

The close-up macro shots are great, but the framing and lighting of the last two could use improvements.
