Took my bass for a Portrait
A buddy of mine is getting really good at guitar photography. He's not pleased with our session today but I thought they were great. This my blue 4003. I also bought a new Jetglo 4003 today but those pictures arent taken yet.

They look great; what is is it about them your friend doesn't like?

He's not happy with the lighting. What I have also noticed is that they arent as sharp an image as they are on my desktop for some reason.

Nice pics! I wish the photos that I take come out only THAT bad!
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!

Most of my pics, no matter how fancy the camera, etc., come out looking like something done by an amateur with the cheapest, disposable, point and shoot available...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

I will be interested to see the photos your friend DOES like.
I am hopeless at photographing my guitars too. I understand light/angles etc are really important, but I STILL manage to get mine to look as if they have had a serious mutation of all genes coding for the length of the neck. Maybe I know about light/angles etc....I just don't know WHAT I should know about them.
Ho hum.

I wish I could take pictures half-that-good !!!!
Re: Took my bass for a Portrait
The close-up macro shots are great, but the framing and lighting of the last two could use improvements.
