There's the basis right there for your "100th Anniversary" model!
Do we have to wait that long?

in the vid is my KiLLeR DWaRf/LADO bass. when we were in NYC in '88 mastering "BIG DEAL" at "right track studios", i went to sam ash during a break and saw a fender performer guitar. i wanted to build a bass with that body style. i told the floor staff of my wishes, and a bunch of then blocked the boss's view as i stood behind them tracing it out on paper ! when i got back to toronto, i glued two pieces of 1- 3/4 "poplar together and shaped it. i then ordered an alembic active old style p/j setup with customized electronics so both pickups had the same audible output when selected. bad arse bridge and schaller machines. took it to lado guitars of toronto, and had them make me a hockey stick 3 piece maple neck with ebony board and shark inlays and paint it. it's got LADO/KiLLeR DWaRfS stamped in the back of the headstock. the paint was still tacky when delivered to me as we loaded up the cargo 747 to fly to england to join iron maiden on their UK tour of 7th son of a 7th son,nov/dec '88. the actual bass used on that song on the cd was tom petersson's 12 string hamer with "busted" graphics on it. was a chore to play as i had never used one before and recorded straight away with it !

(sorry to blab off topic, guys !)

That looks like the one Gary's Classic Guitars had several months ago for about $10K.

Apparently it sold.
If Mozart were with us today, he'd play a Fireglo 4001C64! ~~~*~~~ Beethoven, on the other hand, would play a Matte Jetglo 4001C64S!

I was going through my hard drive and found a few that aren't already on this thread.

First, a 1959 (or so I was led to believe):
