welcome! beautiful guitar! the stats on chart here show 3450 max, and 1 sold on ebay recently for 2050, so at 1500 you still got a killer deal

Thanks Alana, once I get the required posts I'll be able to find out more. I would like to look at the for sale page also. Once again thanks for the info.

Put me in the camp of "don't abuse it, but PLAY IT!". It's a guitar-it'd be a shame to never let it do what it was built to do.

Beautiful guitar, BTW, and a heckuva deal.

I would just echo the other comments, Michael - Congratulations on a super buy, play & enjoy it, but don't gig it! After all, you are just the present custodian and there may be other owners in the future.

As to condition, a few minor marks (a friend of mine calls them 'honesty marks') are not a bad thing, as you can become too precious with collector-grade Rics.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - 1987 was a good year for this color paint! :D
1987 360/6 Mapleglo w/black (retired)
1998 360/12 Jetglo w/white
2008 360/6 Amber Fireglo

Gorgeous. Serious congratulations are in order. In the car world, we would call that a "barn find." I don't even want to tell you how much I paid for mine, but that's not the point. As another post pointed out, life is short - we only have one chance to play guitars like that. If you gig with it, avoid beer, belt buckles, and excessive sweat.
360/12C63 FG and several other guitars & basses not as nice

Curious... I just bought a 97 360/12v64 and it came with the blacl tolex form fit case also. The original owner received it straight from Ric w tjis case. It also has a raised Rickenbacker logo on the case lid that is about 1x10 approx. Does your case have thw same logo? Looks factory, and the orig owner saidnit was factory... Haven't seen too many of these around. Anyone know when these went out of poduction and transitioned to the silver tolex?
