Well, OK, you can't actually see him in that picture, but I definitely remember him being there...
I have NO idea what to do with those skinny stringed things... I'm just a bass player...

Lucky you! You got to see first-hand one of the greatest bands of all time. And at the peak (near-peak?) of their career. It must have been terrific seeing Peter and the guys performing that and other arrangements.jps wrote:I saw them play this, the first time I saw Genesis, in April 1972.Ric N. Genesis - The Fountain of Salmacis
Back when music without all the visual add-ons was good enough.![]()
I wish I could have been so fortunate - oh well.
Who else was on the show?
If Mozart were with us today, he'd play a Fireglo 4001C64! ~~~*~~~ Beethoven, on the other hand, would play a Matte Jetglo 4001C64S!

Some funk band opened the show, called Sylvester & The Hot Band, then Genesis, and finally It's A Beautiful Day.Ric N. Backer wrote:Who else was on the show?
It's amazing just where Ricks will show up!
This was years after I saw them, when they were still a fairly new band; I don't think their bassist played a Rick at that time since the first time I saw one being used in a show was the bassist in the band that played after them.
I don't remember if they did this song, probably not though, as I would have remembered since this is one of my favorite songs; I did see Procol Harum do it twice, the first time was in 1972.

Spock's Beard ( Dave Meros ) - 'At the end of the day' from the album 'V' ( and tons of other Spock's Beard early stuff too !!! )
Re: Rick Bass Greatest Hits
And, alright, we're back...Gerry Rafferty died this week, and of course, all the radio stations are playing "Baker Street." Now, listen to the bass in the middle of the song. Sounds Rick-ish to me!?
