Nah, I am keeping my internal organs in place.
Perhaps I don't need to have everything I want.

It sometime looks like getting what you want is a neverending quest. ;-) (Though I must say I am happy with what I have and the variation I can get with it.)

What makes you want a sixties 4005 instead of the cheaper seventies?

I don't know... I played the '74 4005WB JB sold to Graham and it was one really sweet bass with a wonderful neck.

I do know. Since the frets of my '81 4005 have been leveled I love it. And since '81 is almost the last production year of the 4005 mine must be among the most best with the least flaws. ;-)

I am just a sucker for checkerboard, crushed pearl inlays and toasters... :|

I remember when this bass hit Ebay. I literally had my finger on the "buy it now" button, and my wife walked into the room and distracted me.

JB got real lucky with that one. :D

Ah the one you made a few years back then. Played that one when the paint was barely dry - you had it at one of the SoCal confluences.
