Mine was built up from parts collected over time; I bought it from a forum member who had the bobbin rewound and the pickup assembled. Finding one from a '60s bass is not easy, so I went with this pickup when the opportunity presented itself.

Now, that body shape and headstock shape just do not go together

I've read about people scouring resale shops and eBay for old lapsteels and cannibalizing them.IvanMunoz wrote:'Where does one get magnetic shoes, when I buy a C64, I'd love to install them.

That is true, but because of the nature of the beasts, it HAS to be an athletic accomplishment!jingle_jangle wrote:Playing any bass with 8 or 12 strings IS an athletic accomplishment...
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS!

My '69 Hagstrom 8-string plays like a dream. Short scale, skinny, fast and dead straight Hagstrom neck, low action, TI Jazz Flats on all eight. Sustains like a mother, too.
