In Holland we allways pay all kind of taxes. (And I'm not even complaining as this has its advantages too.)

I'll say!

The devil is in the details....

I hope this sale is over so I can forget about it. Mid blue matches my car! Ugh...

I had lost the G.A.S. for adding new colours to my 4003 orchard when this comes along.
It'll make a great Bday gift to my favourite bassist.

I submitted a request for a quote and received it two days later. So, there's obviously an issue with MF's instant quote service. If you're really interested in purchasing, I would suggest trying again.

I'm hearing that many of these have relatively old production dates and show some signs of wear, suggesting these are returns form MF's customers. But I guess the very low price is the tradeoff.

What normally happens with these returns, one would have thought they would go out again, unless they had many and it seems they do.

And the car's your wife's, right?

MF should be doing this with 360/12s. So far all I got from them was new colleagues...

Wouldn't that be a bit of an issue since they're being advertised as new and not returns or opened already?

There's a big thread on the Talk Bass about the deal, pretty interesting. So far they've reported receiving a 2010, a 2011, and someone had a cracked hardshell case which MF is replacing.

MF will always take back guitars and basses for a full refund, and usually they re-sell the opened returned as "Used". There is a 620 on there now that is Mint/Used, for example.

Great sale for the bass players! I'm tempted to learn bass myself just for this :D

Great! It just got here. It was manufactured in June of last year. Everything looks great except she needs a setup. After a year in a box, I'd need more than just a setup. Very happy to be a member of this community! :D

That would sound like the warranty has already expired on the finish.

As the website made no statement of used/return/open box condition of sale, I expect a NEW pristine instrument, or MF will just have cost themselves a two way freight bill.
