Did they, really?

UPSOOPS will probably blame it on the earthquake. At least, was it a clean break?

You all are killing me.

Yes, it was a clean break. Only one "in-between" piece, which fits "in-between" perfectly. So, this may sound like a herp-a-derp question, but should I remove the truss rod before messing with the gluey stuff? And if so, should I protect its cavity somehow?

Gut reaction, I would, but what to I know. Paul will have the answer.

JakeK wrote:I always knew the Rivieras were simply stripped down Sheratons, at least the 60s models, cos of the mini-'buckers. Guess the P-90s distracted me. When I was out in SoCal, I saw a 68 Riviera...twice at the same place within less than a year! I didn't play it, but I did snag a pic of it that I don't have on me right now.

And the Sheraton was originally based on a ES-355, the Riviera a 335 and a Casino a 330. Please tell me I at least got that right, John-O (doesn't quite work with you)

Don't forget, too, the Casino has a spruce top, making it lightweight. Rivieras by comparison, are pretty heavy, as is this one! Even without the headstock! Hmmm maybe I'll Steinberger it...

Nah, been way too busy. I plan to buy a tub of the stuff PW recommended and hopefully that will do the trick. I may need to get a proper clamp, though, I think I left mine in Florida.

Most good lumberyards will stock it. Otherwise, online. It's worth tracking down, as nothing else is quite like it for this purpose.

Marinas may also have it as this is what we used on Mahogany boats.
