Awesome! love the british racing green :) been gasing for a 5 string for a while, thinking that I would no longer have to down tune as required, but thats just a poor excuse for buying another bass.
I want to be a door too...

You can always just buy another Ric and string it BEAD......that's what I did for years and it worked great! Just a thought.

Brian, congrats on getting a very rare color and model. Not many 4004 5-strings out there. Nice.

This is true. I used BEAD tuning for a while--I ultimately decided I need the G string a lot more than the B string if I have to choose though. Still, BEAD sounds pretty sweet on a Ric... uncommonly deep and rumbly yet with a lot of presence.

...have always loved the trans-green....I had the 4 string a few years ago, I remember it being quite light with a lively tone....(trying to remember WHY I sold it) :?:

Yep....that's the one!

I loved the humbucking pickups and the lightness and the overall coolness of the bass.....I think that's the one that got a little damaged in shipping ..... a small gouge or something like that. It had KILLER flaming!! .... but your 5'er is spectacular .... nice job! :D
